Spinal Cord Research Hub
The Spinal Cord Research Hub (SCoRH) is an online platform uniting the international spinal cord research sector.
The first of its kind, SCoRH is enabling researchers and clinicians to connect, share and collaborate in the one easy-to-use online space.
SCoRH was developed with the support of IOOF Foundation and Ian Potter Foundation
As part of building international research collaboration, we offer the SCI Research Collaboration Grants.
These grants support recipients to attend the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) Annual Scientific Meeting. Attendance at the meeting represents a unique opportunity for career development, to garner fresh ideas and collaborate with international peers.
Supporting research careers
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving global collaboration in the field of spinal cord injury research, the SRI offers a Mentor Program for Early Career Researchers.
Actively involving those affected by spinal cord injury in research
Our goal is to actively involve consumers in research, to benefit its quality and direction, and improve health outcomes for people with spinal cord injury.
Our Consumer Engagement Program puts people with lived experience at the forefront of research, by supporting them to co-design and co-deliver research that is relevant to the needs and priorities of the spinal cord injury community.
Together we can make change
Since 2016 we have co-presented collaboration workshops at the Annual Scientific Meetings of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) and the Australia & New Zealand Spinal Cord Society (ANZSCoS).
These workshops have explored collaborative research and consumer engagement as a way to fast-track the translation of research outcomes to improve the lives of people with spinal cord injury sooner. They provide valuable communication, content and program opportunities that have been identified as important enablers for researchers and clinicians to collaborate internationally.
