Angela shares her experiences from the conference.

Attending the 63rd Annual ISCoS Scientific Meeting facilitated networking that will result in exciting collaborations in the future. The highlight of my conference was the opportunity for open, small group discussions between sessions and during the social hours. In particular, I went to dinner with Psychosocial SIG members and really enjoyed bouncing ideas off each other and sharing experiences. Engaging in conversation with people who are passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes, is truly invigorating. I also really enjoyed the SRI breakfast on the first day. Getting to meet the current and past awardees before the conference was really helpful in navigating the rest of the conference, as I knew there were familiar faces I could look for.

I have already started incorporating the knowledge I gained from the ISCoS conference in the development of a resilience intervention. I look forward to partnering with the individuals I met at the conference to bring this to fruition.

I am excited about the prospect of attending next year’s conference to continue building relationships and exchanging ideas.
