Dr Caroline McFarlane
Caroline has been a spinal consultant at the Victorian Spinal Cord Service since 2013. She has 20 years of clinical experience in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine, and has worked in a range of hospitals around Victoria. Caroline has a commitment to excellence in practice, partnering with consumers and quality improvement. Caroline is currently the Acting Director of the Victorian Spinal Cord Service, Austin Health.
Caroline has been a Fellow of the Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine since 2011. In addition to her role at Austin Health, Caroline has previously worked with Alfred Health for seven years, in the statewide rehabilitation service for clients with Acquired Brain Injury. Prior to this, Caroline had been a visiting rehabilitation physician at several locations including Epworth Health, Cabrini Health and the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre in Glen Waverley. Caroline is actively involved in the supervision and training of junior medical staff, and supports clinical research activity within the VSCS. Caroline also became an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators in 2022.
Dr Caroline McFarlane will represent the Victorian Spinal Cord Service on the SRI Board, taking over this role from Associate Professor Andrew Nunn.
